As a Sales Engineer (Focus Tax Solutions) at Lucanet, you will act as a technical expert for our advanced tax product suite, supporting sales activities throughout the DACH region. You’ll collaborate with our sales teams to deliver tailored product demonstrations, guide responses to RFPs/RFIs, and provide authoritative advice to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring our solutions address specific tax and compliance requirements in the DACH markets. Your insights will also help shape sales materials, participate in cross-functional projects, and keep our team up to date with the latest trends in tax regulation and tax technology. With your background in tax you’ll help drive Lucanet’s growth in one of Europe’s key regions.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical product demonstrations, with a focus on addressing tax-related customer pain points and compliance requirements in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on Lucanet’s solutions, translating complex tax topics—such as VAT, Pillar II, CbCR, Income Tax - to stakeholders of all backgrounds.
  • Prepare and ensure the technical accuracy of RFP/RFI responses, addressing regional tax compliance.
  • Partner with product, sales, and legal teams to continually enhance solution positioning in the DACH tax technology market.
  • Develop and refine sales support materials, demo databases, and training content, ensuring relevance for local tax regulations.
  • Stay actively informed about DACH-region tax legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

What you bring to the table

  • Successful experience in tax; direct exposure to tax reporting or digital tax solutions for the DACH market is a must have.
  • Completed training as a tax specialist, a degree in taxation, or equivalent qualifications. Experience working in a tax advisory, accounting firm, or in a Big 4 environment is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record in technical pre-sales, sales engineering ideally with SaaS or FinTech providers is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of German and/or Austrian/Swiss tax systems, regulations, and reporting requirements; familiarity with Lucanet’s product suite is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in German (required) and English (preferred), enabling you to interact confidently with both local and international stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to translate customer challenges into innovative, compliant solutions.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and contributing to Lucanet’s strategic growth in the DACH region.
