What are you going to do?

After a device has been introduced to the market (but also during development after certain phases), a very strict Change Control is upheld. The goal of this Change Control is to keep track of all changes to a device and to report this to the proper authorities. Within DEMCON, we use various technologies and tools to manage, for example, requirements or to track issues. Within the Change Control, a desire is to be able to create an overview of resolved issues and to report the (verification) result. This information is available in our issue tracker but this is not accessible for external parties (for example, inspection authorities).

Assignment

To create a user friendly tool (for software and non-software engineers) that retrieves information from our issue tracker, is flexible with the data retrieved and can convert that information to an overview which can be used in documentation. Included activities are: coordinate with various stakeholders within DEMCON, translate these to requirements, doing the implementation, testing (CI, CD, unit test). All activities from the V-model can be included.

Currently, within DEMCON languages used for user interfaces within products are (at least):

• C#/.NET
• Avalonia
• C++
• Python

The student should research which language is most suitable for the desired application within the organization (keeping in mind maintainers and users).

What do you bring to the table?

• Bachelor or Master student in the field of Computer Science, or similar studies
• Experience with programming
• Experience with C++, C#, or Python
