Production Engineering Specialist (m / f / d) - Produktion, Qualitätsmanagement, IT

In this role, you will join a dynamic and flexible team, where you will drive improvements of our electromechanical and electronic switchgears (including manual motor starters, contactors, thermal or electronic relays). Your work will be very diverse, ranging from design, measurement, part inspection, testing, cost saving, to production support. You will often lead work packages or projects. The work model for this role is onsite. This position contributes to the Product Group Motor Starting in Heidelberg and Hornberg, Germany. Main stakeholders are the manufacturing units in Heidelberg and Hornberg. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Managing one or more electromechanical products as a major task
2. Leading projects and work packages
3. Handling a few electronic products as minor tasks
4. Implementing parts from new tools
5. Troubleshooting cases of increased scrap in production
6. Implementing new technologies and processes and improving them

Qualifications for the role

1. Preferably a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
2. Ability to demonstrate advanced skills in designing plastic and metal parts respecting the tolerance chain
3. Some experience with electronic devices is highly beneficial
4. Knowledge of finite element, multi-body, electromagnetic simulation, or L6S tools is advantageous
5. Proficiency in English and German communication
