We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Functional Test Engineer to join our satellite engineering team. You will play a key role in testing satellite units at various integration levels, working with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) to validate systems prior to launch. This position supports the success of major satellite missions through functional, subsystem, and system-level testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and electrical interface tests at unit, subsystem, and satellite level
  • Work with satellite subsystems: On-Board Computer (OBC), AOCS, Propulsion, Payload, TCS, Power, Security Systems, TT&C
  • Operate as Test Operator or Test Conductor, depending on experience
  • Perform real-time satellite health monitoring
  • Write and maintain test procedures and hardware work instructions
  • Develop and maintain test scripts (Tcl/Tk or Python)
  • Prepare detailed test reports, including data evaluation and documentation
  • Participate in test reviews (TRR, PTR, TRB), both internal and customer-facing
  • Investigate and support resolution of non-conformances, working closely with subsystem leads
  • Prepare test setups, including EGSE, satellite non-flight connections, and SAAPs

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • At least 2 years of experience in satellite or subsystem testing
  • Familiarity with EGSE systems and test environments
  • Skilled in using electrical measurement tools (oscilloscopes, DMMs, lab power supplies)
  • Experience in at least one scripting language: Python or Tcl/Tk
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, test plans, and specifications

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CCS-based systems (e.g., CCS5, OCOE)
  • Prior work with satellite integration or AIV/AIT environments
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards and satellite project lifecycle
  • Exposure to satellite command and telemetry systems

Soft Skills

  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
