The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!

  1. You will conduct fundamental scientific research (PhD) that significantly contributes to predicting the lifespan of metallic components and more.
  2. You will develop Design of Experiments (DoE) models for analyzing and synthetically generating virtual load collectives.
  3. You will research how LLM-based multi-agent systems perform in selecting input data for the simulation chain and how effectively they can serve as developers of tools for reliability simulations.
  4. Implement data-based and AI/LLM approaches using Python code.
  5. Develop methods to evaluate the quality of results and uncertainties, and apply these methods to a demonstrator system.
  6. Implement an existing software platform.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Above-average degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Maths, Physics, Simulation Technology, Computer Science, or Computational Science and Engineering.
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • Advanced knowledge in developing simulation methods for engineering problems.
    • Good knowledge in computational lifespan estimation, DoE methods, and AI agent frameworks.
    • Experience in data-based or hybrid modeling, implementation in Python, and numerical model implementation.
  • Personality and Work Practice: Proactive, committed, goal-oriented, and comfortable presenting and speaking publicly.
  • Languages: Very good command of German and English.
