Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the sourcing strategy for internal and external equipment as well as subcontracts/site works for HVAC HVDC, FACTS Substations Turnkey Projects, and associated Aftermarket Service scope in the Central Europe region.
This role is responsible for achieving competitive costs and implementing effective costing structures that mitigate risks while ensuring project schedules are met.
Manage vendor lists based on Global Sourcing strategy. Lead the identification and qualification of suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive advantages and increase tender success, focusing on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) priorities in a sustainable sourcing environment.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate hypotheses in tender phases to win profitable projects. Coordinate negotiations with commodity managers and local buyers during execution, and manage claims.
- Achieve or exceed yearly KPIs and objectives, with periodic updates to management.
- Maintain good internal networking within Sourcing and other organizational functions.
- Lead preparation, review, and validation of Sourcing Commitment tables for external purchases, and submit final costs to the Tendering team.
- Collect and implement Return of Experience (RoE) from sourcing, procurement, project execution, and quality functions to improve sourcing strategies.
- Coordinate with regional and global commodity leaders to optimize cost and cycle times considering SQDC outcomes.
- Contribute to the organization’s sustainability roadmap and objectives.
- Ensure implementation of Global Sourcing policies (QMS/BMS) in activities, supporting cost optimizations and scope maturity.
- Utilize technical expertise to solve problems and make informed decisions, leveraging internal and external sources.
- Impact projects, processes, and procedures within your field. Operate with some autonomy, providing professional judgment within standard practices.
- Maintain highest QEHS standards as per company guidelines in stakeholder interactions and decisions.
- Represent Sourcing during Tender stages, ensuring cost, lead time, and risk analyses are accurate and competitive.
- Support should-cost analysis and cost breakdown development for electromechanical and construction scopes.
- Develop deep business discipline knowledge, applying prior experience to execute policies and strategies.
- Ensure bid compliance with sourcing policies and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with commodity owners and site sourcing leaders to select suppliers meeting quality, timeline, and cost requirements.
- Manage sourcing master planning aligned with project schedules, working closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
- Oversee sourcing budgets, workload, and participate in all bid reviews.
- Lead and develop commodity management teams supporting projects, including workload and talent management.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate costs for materials, equipment, and site works supporting bids.
- Lead teams to find creative solutions for complex problems, using multiple resources for decision-making.
- Possibly lead functional teams or projects, influencing policies and ensuring delivery within your function.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar; Master’s preferred
- 10+ years experience in sourcing/supply chain in high voltage electrical/construction projects, regional or global
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent negotiation, strategic planning, and project management skills
- Knowledge of sustainability and risk practices in supply chain
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions
- Effective communicator, capable of aligning international teams
- Fluent in German and English
