Your Responsibilities

You will be the first point of contact for accounting issues in projects. In addition, you will work with the international accounting team to carry out the necessary activities for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements as well as annual audits and, if necessary, tax audits, and keep an eye on the continuous improvement of our accounting processes and systems and support their implementation.

• Collaboration and representation of Accounting in bank-wide projects.
• Independent creation of accounting logic and clarification of accounting mapping of special issues.
• Coordination of accounting projects, e.g. introduction of new tools.
• Optimisation and digitalisation of accounting and financial processes.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly IFRS reporting and the annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).

Your Profile

• You have a successfully completed degree and/or a completed commercial apprenticeship.
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting or accounting, preferably at a bank.
• You have several years of professional experience in the preparation and auditing of financial statements, ideally at a bank or auditing firm.
• You have a very independent, structured, analytical and goal-orientated way of working.
• You have very good knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and ideally knowledge of IFRS.
• You are experienced in using the ERP system ‘Oracle NetSuite’ or a comparable ERP system.
• Knowledge of the core banking system Mambu is an advantage.
• You are confident in using modern communication and organisational tools such as Zoom, Slack, Google G-Suite.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German round off your profile.
