Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. This key part of our business ensures we fulfill and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers receive their items on time. As an Area Manager, you’ll ensure your site runs smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team that maintains safety, efficiency, and high quality, while managing various projects across our network to drive productivity.
You’ll work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on productivity. Your main responsibilities include fostering a safety culture, maintaining quality, and overseeing process improvements. Your day may involve team management, operational tasks, process improvements, and contingency planning. You will also mentor new managers.
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items like furniture and appliances. We manage the entire process from fulfillment to delivery and returns, offering extra customer care such as unpacking, assembly, installation, and old item removal. Our focus is on safety, productivity, and innovation, with plans to expand across the UK and Europe. Most team members work during the day, with some night shifts in delivery stations. Our team includes operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and project management professionals, all vital to our growth.
