Web Developer (Front-End)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Web Developer (Front-End) to join our team at Lands’ End Europe in Mettlach, Germany.

As our Web Developer (Front-End), you will focus exclusively on the creation and implementation of digital campaigns and web content across our three markets using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Design, and Merchandising teams to:

• Turn Figma mock-ups into pixel‑perfect, responsive web pages and banners
• Ensure fast load times and smooth interactions on both desktop and mobile
• Set up and QA A/B tests and optimisations to improve the customer experience based on clear business goals
• Streamline and document front‑end production processes to boost efficiency and agility
  
  

This is an entry‑level role — no university degree required. We welcome applications from self‑taught developers, bootcamp graduates, and recent leavers who have a passion for front‑end web development and a hunger to learn.

Please note this role is hybrid and will require 9 days a month in the Mettlach office as well local and market store visits.

Key Deliverables from the Role:

• Code and deploy website banners and campaign pages in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Ensure all content is responsive and performs well on mobile and desktop
• Collaborate with designers (Figma) to implement and QA new features
• Optimise content for fast load times (minification, lazy-loading, simple JS)
• Document shareable code snippets and front-end workflows
  
  

What we need from you:

• A self-starter with solid skills in HTML, CSS and JS (portfolio or small projects welcome!)
• A demonstrated passion for digital technology, with a deep understanding of usability and user experience
• An innovative and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to propose and implement practical solutions
• Solid grasp of digital best practices and optimisation strategies
• Fluent English speaker - German or French fluency is a strong plus
• Bonus: Experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Trello and familiarity with Figma for design collaboration and handoff
