YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Owning the forecasting and planning process for your scope
• Monitoring and reporting on the actual performance in comparison with budget/forecast on a weekly and monthly basis, and staying agile in the financial steering to meet financial targets
• Setting up efficient processes that allow holding key stakeholders accountable for the financial impact of their actions and decisions
• Being the principal point of contact regarding all financial questions and developments for your scope

You are a key sparring partner to local and central management regarding investment decisions for your markets as well as business opportunities in terms of growth, monetization, and efficiency.

• Consulting them on what’s driving the business and what levers to pull to increase performance
• Evaluating the investment level based on your knowledge of the market and the involvement it will have on the budget allocated to your scope
• Challenging operational and marketing teams on their investment decisions in awareness of both market and overall company interests
• Supporting business decisions through financial analysis and business casing

You’ll take an active role in shaping the positioning of the Commercial Finance team within the organization.

• Participating in and maintaining a strong network with other functions within the headquarters and local markets
• Taking part in further development of our existing toolkit for steering the business
• Taking ownership of transversal projects with internal stakeholders

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• You’ve got a degree in the fields of Economics or any other field of academia + a corresponding advanced financial education
• You’ve >3 years of professional experience in the fields of Consulting, Private Equity, Controlling, or Operations with a strong financial focus
• During that time, you achieved a proven track record of driving business performance through executing your commercial mindset

Your skillset:

• You’ve an intuitive understanding of what drives a business model in a given market and the ability to validate this using commercial data within Excel and Google Sheets
• You feel comfortable working collaboratively with many other stakeholders from different departments, challenging them on their positions and defending your interests and thoughts
• You’re adapting quickly to new situations and bring natural curiosity to understand market-specific challenges and potential solutions
• You’re able to communicate complex ideas effectively in English; any other European language is a plus
• You’re a team player who is comfortable working in cross-cultural teams
