Job Title: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant – Finance (Freelance)

Location: On-site near Stuttgart, Germany + Remote

Project Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant with a strong finance background to support a manufacturing client based near Stuttgart. The focus will be on core financial functionalities, with specific expertise in German tax compliance and e-Documents / e-Invoicing processes.

Scope of Work & Timeline:

• On-site Engagement: 2–3 days for project initiation and workshop sessions
• Ad Hoc Project Support: Ongoing support (3–4 days total) during configuration, testing, or issue resolution phases
• End-User Training: 2–3 days of structured training sessions, ideally in-person
• Flexibility: Aside from the on-site requirements, remote work can be scheduled flexibly around existing commitments

Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial scoping and workshops with key finance stakeholders

• Configure and advise on Business Central finance modules (GL, AP, AR, VAT, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with German tax laws and implementation of e-Documents/e-Invoicing
• Support testing, UAT, and ad hoc issue resolution
• Deliver tailored end-user training for finance and operational teams
• Work closely with internal IT teams and external developers where needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly in Finance
• Strong knowledge of German finance/tax regulations and electronic invoicing (E-Documents)
• Experience working in or supporting manufacturing environments
• Comfortable with a mix of on-site and remote work, depending on project phase
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
