Job Description

The Assistant Camp Manager is expected to collaborate with the Camp Manager in ensuring the efficient management and smooth running of the camp. The Assistant Camp Manager shares the responsibility for meeting Alpadia’s ambition of an enjoyable and developing camp experience for all students, in an atmosphere that is both respectful and safe. Responsibilities include supervising activities and excursions, managing the Activity Leader team, creating activity schedules, managing risks, and corresponding with external activity partners.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

• Experience in staff management and leadership in a professional setting.
• Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity.
• Some German proficiency (spoken B1-B2 minimum) and ability to liaise with activity providers.
• Fluency in English.
• High level of self-sufficiency, growth mindset, and proven track record of solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
• High physical, mental, and emotional resilience.
• High energy level, excitement, and comfort speaking in front of large groups.
• Availability during management and staff training in Berlin (June 10-20, 2025), and the entire summer season (June 21-August 10).

Desired Criteria

• Fluency in German and English.
• Experience in outdoor education or summer camps.
• Driver’s License and ability to drive a minivan.

• Engelberg Camp (Switzerland): 29.06.2025 - 02.08.2025.
