YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Analysis, selection, installation, and administration of the physical network infrastructure and network systems
- Planning, implementation, and maintenance of network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN)
- Configuration and administration of switches, routers, and firewalls
- Implementation and administration of monitoring and logging systems
- Planning and implementation of redundancy and high availability concepts for critical network components, including server, monitoring, and software distribution systems
- Providing and maintaining all technical components (hardware and software) of web server solutions and district/school websites
- Installing extensions, maintaining content management systems, and supporting specialist application software used in the district
- Ensuring functionality, carrying out updates
- Participation and consulting in developing and implementing IT concepts, server consolidations, network optimization, and IT service instructions, including IT security, firewalls, anti-virus, and anti-spam software
- Analyzing security patches, service packs, and OS upgrades for compatibility
- Carrying out performance, problem, and incident management of virtualization, storage, and memory systems
- Support and administration of hypervisors and clusters
- Provision and maintenance of storage and backup systems for virtualization
- Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery of virtualization environment

WHAT YOU BRING
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, administrative informatics, or related IT degree
- Class B driving license and willingness to drive (company vehicles)

- Problem-solving and project management skills
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Knowledge of network/firewall systems, virtualization, storage, IT security, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention
- Experience in network management, monitoring, and logging
