About The Role

We are currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team in the Platform Engineering organization and help us scale our products to millions of end-users. Location: We are flexible on remote working from home if you are based in Germany.

On Call Requirements: Participate in our 24x7 on-call rotation, SCRUM, and deployment planning.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.
2. Participate in our 24x7 on-call rotation, SCRUM, and deployment planning.
3. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide recommendations for application teams.
4. Improve availability and reduce customer impact using industry-best observability tools.
5. Ensure best-practice and security-minded architecture by influencing design decisions.
6. Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
7. Develop software, scripts, or tooling to improve efficiency and reduce delivery time of applications and infrastructure.
8. Other duties as needed.

About You

1. 7+ years’ experience in DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
2. 3+ years' experience with an object-oriented language (preferably Java, .NET, or C++).
3. Intermediate+ level Linux administration, scripting, and troubleshooting skills.
4. Demonstrable knowledge of observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk, DataDog).
5. Comprehensive experience with AWS and its core capabilities (VPC, EC2, ECS, Route53, Fargate, ALB/NLB).
6. Experience with cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code tools, primarily CloudFormation, also including Terraform, Helm, and Ansible; CDK is a plus.
7. Good understanding of containers, Fargate, Kubernetes, and distributed microservice architectures.
8. Passionate about automation, security, and self-service environments/portals.
9. Hands-on experience with CI/CD and SDLC processes.
10. Outstanding communication skills in English.
