Job Title: National Account Manager – Sports Brand

Location: Germany (Hybrid – major cities such as Munich, Berlin, or Frankfurt preferred)

About the Brand

Our client is a globally recognised sports and lifestyle brand, known for innovation, high-performance products, and a deep connection with athletes and fans worldwide. With a strong presence in the DACH region and ambitious growth plans across Europe, they are now looking to hire a talented National Account Manager to take ownership of key German retail partners and drive long-term commercial success.

The Role

As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with key national retailers and online accounts across Germany. You’ll take full commercial ownership for your customers – from sell-in to sell-through – while working closely with marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams to maximise brand visibility and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the business across key national accounts in Germany
  • Develop and implement account plans that drive sales growth, margin, and market share
  • Lead annual negotiations on pricing, terms, and promotional spend
  • Forecast demand accurately and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure product availability and service levels
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with key retail partners
  • Analyse sell-through data and market trends to identify new opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing to deliver co-branded campaigns and retail activations
  • Act as a brand ambassador and ensure alignment with global strategy and guidelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in account management or key account sales, ideally in sports, apparel, lifestyle, or consumer goods
  • Strong understanding of the German retail landscape (brick-and-mortar and e-commerce)
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with confidence in working with sales data and forecasts
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel across Germany and occasionally to HQ or trade events
