Key Responsibilities

Scientists take on big unanswered questions and guide development teams to state-of-the-art solutions. We seek candidates with deep industry experience in Mechatronics who have led teams through full product cycles from concept to launch. The ideal candidate:

  • Can think big and conceive innovative ideas and solutions;
  • Has the insight to identify promising exploration avenues;
  • Possesses hands-on skills for rapid proof-of-concept development;
  • Conducts careful experimental evaluations;
  • Is disciplined to fast-fail when data refutes theories;
  • And has the perseverance to continue exploring until solutions are found.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
  • PhD in Robotics or Engineering, or MS with significant industry experience;
  • Experience in applied research within low-level Robotics, Controls, or Mechatronics;
  • Leadership experience in managing a team of scientists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with impedance/force control, model predictive/adaptive control, optimization, or state estimation;
  • Familiarity with control systems for multi-DOF robots;
  • Ability to translate algorithm research into practical, real-system solutions.
