Job Description

Are you a member of the SPO Technical Team in the domain of Security? Do you support the Security Monitoring Manager in activities within this domain? If so, we are looking for you to contribute to our team.

The role involves:

  1. Participating in the management of Galileo’s SECMON processes, including security monitoring and control activities performed by the SPO Operational Teams following system-level processes and using provided infrastructure tools.
  2. Supporting from a regulatory and programmatic perspective, verifying and controlling activities carried out by local teams involved in SECMON activities.
  3. Interacting with local EUSPA representatives for daily activities, contributing to periodic or ad-hoc reports to EUSPA, and participating in relevant coordination activities.
  4. Contributing to the verification of operational products and procedures developed by SPO teams, including participation in system validation or simulation activities.
  5. Contributing to the definition and refinement of analysis processes, investigation methodologies, and techniques for security events.
  6. Assisting in verifying supporting infrastructures during all verification phases, analyzing capacities, and suggesting potential improvements.
  7. Participating in lessons learned processes, anomalies analysis, configuration changes, and operational activities planning.

Qualifications

  • Experience in similar activities, ideally in Space, Defence programs, or highly security-sensitive commercial sectors such as Finance.
  • Preferably experience with the Galileo program, including knowledge of Galileo-specific accreditation processes and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of security accreditation methodologies at national and international levels.
  • Knowledge and experience in security risk assessment and management.
  • Experience in reviewing system security documentation and conducting security inspections.
  • Knowledge of cyber-protection technologies for critical IT infrastructures.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; skills in Italian, German, or Spanish are a plus.
  • Strong team spirit, with the ability to leverage resources beyond direct control.
  • Proficiency in standard office automation tools (word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet, etc.).
