Role Overview

Freshfields, a global law firm with over 2,400 lawyers across 28 offices, seeks a Business Development Manager specializing in M&A to support our Germany and Austria-based practice. This role requires excellent teamworking, communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the M&A/Corporate practice group by developing and executing business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with lawyers to prepare proposals, pitches, RFP responses, and manage content on Salesforce.
  • Create and manage practice content, campaigns, events, and directory submissions to enhance engagement and reputation.
  • Assist with webinars, events, and initiatives to elevate the group's profile.
  • Leverage technology and tools like Salesforce to analyze trends and identify opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement in business development efforts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree-level education with significant experience in professional service organizations, preferably legal.
  • Proficiency in German and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Experience with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for developing expertise in M&A/Corporate business development.
