Responsibilities

  1. Support the processing and management of the entire process associated with incoming: issuance, amendment, and cancellation requests for international guarantees.
  2. Support the processing and management of the entire process associated with incoming: issuance, amendment, document presentation, and cancellation requests for import and export letters of credit.
  3. Ensure that all transactions are conducted in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  4. Act as the first point of contact for customers and discuss operational specificities of their requests (e.g., required changes on guarantee texts or discrepancies on LC documents).
  5. Fee monitoring, management, debiting (MT499 processing), and preparation of invoices in close dialogue with the back office.
  6. Prepare internal and external monthly business reports and other relevant reporting/statistics.
  7. Report to the Deputy GTB Head of Client Service.
  8. Collaborate closely with GTB Front Office and support Senior Trade Bankers.
  9. Support the execution of Permanent Supervision Controls.

Profile required

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related area.
  • Deep knowledge of trade finance products (letters of credit, guarantees, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in a Trade Finance Department within a bank.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Client-oriented attitude (internally and externally).
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Fluency in German and English (written and oral) is essential; French is an advantage.
  • Solution-oriented and flexible working style.
  • Proactive team player.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn and work in a deadline-driven, culturally diverse environment.
  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships internally and externally.
