THE ROLE:

We're seeking an experienced Production Manager who will play a pivotal role in managing our flagship production facility. You'll drive operational excellence, foster innovation, and lead a high-performing team to achieve and surpass our production targets.

As a Production Manager at PRÆSIDIAD, you will be responsible for overseeing our manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of our products. You will lead a team, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our production processes.

The role is located in Schwalmtal, Germany and reports to the Operations Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive production strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieve production-related objectives and KPIs.
• Lead the development and implementation of long-term production plans including e-commerce production.
• Operational Management: Directly oversee all operations within the production facility, ensuring seamless production processes.
• Optimize workflows, resource allocation, and production schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of production professionals.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and support professional development.
• Coordinate time management and vacation planning for the production team via the time recording system.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to uphold product quality and consistency.
• Support occupational health & safety based on current risk assessments and legal regulations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments including supply chain, engineering, and R&D to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.
• Serve as a key liaison between various teams to optimize workflows and achieve production goals.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/production management or relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within manufacturing or automotive environment (preferably Tier 1 production management).
• Very good knowledge of English & German language (written and spoken).
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale production operations and teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
• Proficiency in production management tools.
• Experience with E-Commerce operations will be an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, influence, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience in driving transitions, transformation, process standardization, and customer experience.
• Self-driven, highly engaged, and focused on achieving results.
• Ability to work in an international, matrix organization.
• High sense of responsibility, positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization.
