Job Description

NI’s (Emerson subsidiary) Optimal+ platform operates in the Industrial IoT sector, providing a comprehensive Big Data analytics solution for automotive, semiconductors, and electronics companies.

The data science group, based in Israel, handles customer engagement and develops company-wide machine learning strategies, infrastructure, and roadmaps. We aim to harness AI to revolutionize manufacturing by delivering tailored platforms, solutions, and methodologies that manage the entire machine learning lifecycle in production.

The Principal Data Scientist will evaluate ML frameworks, develop applications from inception to deployment, and improve existing methods. The role involves working within high-stakes industries like semiconductors, electronics, and automotive, where accuracy and regulatory compliance are critical.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate ML frameworks, algorithms, and tools.
• Build and deploy machine learning applications.
• Enhance internal and customer methods and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related; M.Sc. or PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML/DL, with a focus on production solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pytorch.
• Deep knowledge of ML, deep learning, and statistical methods.
• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with a challenge-driven attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor and electronics industries.
• Experience with generative AI, especially with large datasets of tabular or waveform data.

Work Environment

Hybrid model: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote weekly.
