Job Description: Research Engineer in Energy Management Software

Join Fraunhofer IOSB-AST, where our research and development set standards. What You Will Do

  • Customer support and project work related to the energy management software of Fraunhofer IOSB-AST
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of the software
  • Conduct scientific and industry-related work on identifying and analyzing requirements for energy management functions in our software solutions
  • Apply and test existing and new energy management functions in projects for municipal utilities and energy providers
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments such as IT and development to tailor solutions to specific requirements

What You Bring

  • Completed university degree in computer science, engineering, or economics with a focus on energy systems or energy economics
  • Experience in leading projects or project teams (desirable)
  • Proficiency with databases and SQL queries for Oracle & PostgreSQL
  • Experience in maintaining and administering software systems
  • Interest and enthusiasm for solution-oriented approaches to energy industry challenges
  • Knowledge of energy technology and/or energy industry processes (advantageous)
  • Excellent German language skills
