As Competence Lead (m/f/d) Controls - Product Engineering and a key member of our global Product Engineering team, you will take a leading role in defining, maintaining, and enhancing best practices. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and advanced tools, you will drive innovation in control systems and help shape the future of intralogistics for innovative and forward-thinking customers.

Responsibilities

Make an impact:

  • Act as the subject matter expert in control systems (PLC software and electrical Hardware), providing technical advice and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Drive harmonization and improvements of the product engineering processes and workflows by standards and practices across all product lines and locations to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Define requirements for product development as well as the further development of our engineering toolchain.
  • Foster growth and upskilling within the controls product engineering colleagues by mentoring, coaching, and facilitating knowledge sharing.
  • Initiate and drive global projects and initiatives for harmonization and standardization in the area of controls engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development and Controls Software. Ensure coordinated feedback flow from project realization into product development.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging technical trends and innovations, aligning them with the company’s strategic goals.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed:

  • A relevant degree, such as in electrical or automation engineering.
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in similar roles, ideally within the logistics automation industry.
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong willingness to learn and identify opportunities to enhance team performance, products, projects, and processes.
  • Solution-oriented and assertive personality with strategic vision and passion for collaborating in international teams.
  • Project and time management skills to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong teamwork abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for inspiring and convincing others.
  • Strong proficiency in English; German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20-40%) between our locations in Sweden, Germany, and Austria.
