Finance Manager

Evac has been a pioneer in sustainable technologies and solutions for decades. Today we are the world’s leading provider of integrated Evac water, waste and wastewater technologies, Cathelco corrosion protection and marine growth prevention and HEM freshwater systems.

We are now looking for a Finance Manager, Evac Germany GmbH, to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure financial integrity for the legal entity. In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality and timely periodic and year-end closing and reporting.
• Supporting the Germany General Manager in effectively and efficiently running the entity.
• Monitoring and controlling revenue, costs, cash flow, invoicing, tax compliance, and financial performance.
• Managing budgeting and financial forecasting in cooperation with business stakeholders locally and overseas.
• Ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and consistent financial controls and policies for the legal entity in Germany.
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinating and managing the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors, and addressing any issues or recommendations.
• Supporting the development of financial and management accounting processes and reporting, including related IT systems.
• Handling tax filings and reporting, as well as providing guidance to other business functions in Germany.
• Liaising with tax advisors and banks.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• Strong financial management experience (5–10 years), preferably in an international industrial company applying IFRS and German GAAP reporting practices.
• A proven track record in financial management, with experience in a similar role (5–7 years minimum). Experience in the marine industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with submitting accounts as part of a larger group is an advantage.
• Deep expertise in German GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Effective communication skills across all levels of the business, including with overseas colleagues.
• Proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written.
• A hands-on mentality and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications required:

• A higher degree in Finance or Accounting.
• A recognized accounting qualification in Germany.

The role reports to the Vice President, Finance, Evac Business Line.
