Job Description:

We are looking for a RD&A Senior Technologist to work on developing Snack seasonings driven by consumer taste preferences and nutritional targets across different applications in partnership with major global crisp manufacturers.

The successful candidate will be based in the Frankfurt Central European Business Unit Hub. They will report directly to the Snack RD&A Manager and be part of The Savoury Snacks and Dry Culinary RDA team.

Savoury Snacks is a dynamic market with many eating occasions and trends such as clean label, salt reduction, and intense heat levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cost-competitive snack seasonings utilizing flavor knowledge and taste solutions to meet business and customer requirements.
• Build strong customer relationships, deliver customer-centric solutions, and manage opportunities to drive growth.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulations, and customer needs, translating these into innovative strategies.
• Collaborate on collection development with Flavour Technology and Culinary foundations, and portfolio management.
• Scale up NPD in factories, ensuring efficient manufacturing and linking with operations.
• Leverage Kerry Technologies in developing snack seasonings and lead internal and external projects.
• Manage projects independently, liaise with Account Managers, and attend customer visits to meet timelines.
• Develop cost-effective formulas providing value and optimize costs and processes.
• Understand and utilize systems like Salesforce, Optiva, MDG, and SAP.
• Mentor and develop internal talent, aligning with organizational goals.

Qualifications and skills

• BSc in food science or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in the snack industry.
• Experience in top note development for savory applications.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience evaluating ingredients in food applications.
• Innovative, with the ability to develop novel solutions and create competitive advantages.
• Proactive in overcoming challenges and delivering timely solutions.
• Market-aware with good commercial sense.
• Excellent communication and knowledge-sharing skills.
