Senior Market Analyst (m/f/d) - Cementitious Materials

Job Description

We are EP Power Minerals GmbH, based in Dinslaken. We see ourselves as a European competence leader in managing power plant by-products, blasting abrasives, and industrial waste. With our subsidiaries and an expanding international network, we have been a leading service provider for industries and the construction sector for over 40 years, supplying high-quality construction materials, blasting agents, and industrial materials. Our products, such as fly ash, help reduce the carbon footprint. We also invest in future projects with alternative material sources to enhance our company's sustainability. Additionally, we specialize in the responsible disposal of industrial waste and the production of building materials from waste. With over 250 employees, we generated a turnover of 250 million euros in 2023.

Responsibilities:

1. Advance our internal capabilities by developing expertise in the supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) industry through customized analyses and insights for various target groups.
2. Utilize your experience in market and economic research to support our trading and sales teams by analyzing market trends, technology implications, market fundamentals, benchmarking, and requirements analysis.
3. Create a structured approach to integrate external and internal information to support management decision-making.
4. Design and implement custom or off-the-shelf information system solutions in collaboration with our IT department.
5. Prepare regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) on trade flows, market trends, opportunities, and global news affecting the business, including strategic recommendations.
6. Select appropriate communication channels for assessments and reports, such as presentations, newsletters, or IT tools.
7. Continuously improve the quality of our knowledge assets and adhere to industry best practices.
8. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

1. A degree in business administration, business informatics, economics, econometrics, or a related field.
2. At least two years of relevant experience in developing and implementing similar functions and solutions within an industrial company, software firm, or consulting organization.
3. Understanding of the cementitious materials, cement, or concrete industry, along with sales, trading, and supply chain management knowledge is advantageous.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. A collaborative team player with analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
6. Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish and/or German is a plus.
7. Interest in geopolitical issues and international markets.
8. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
