SOW Area Manager

Job Description

Reporting to the Project Senior Site Manager, our client is seeking a responsible individual for overseeing construction activities on site within their area of responsibility, including EHS and quality aspects of all CSA & MEP works.

Responsibilities

1. Follow up on EHS activities for all work carried out on site. Stop and correct unsafe activities.
2. Promote, uphold, and participate in monitoring EHS on site and in the site office.
3. Participate actively in EHS programs, activities, and initiatives.
4. Participate in the preparation and implementation of QA/QC policies and ensure their compliance.
5. Implement and ensure adherence to QA/QC policies and processes.
6. Monitor and ensure that all issues related to QA/QC are followed-up and closed in a timely manner.
7. Conduct site walks to verify work quality and compliance.
8. Ensure site quality standards are maintained, including proper inspection records and compliance with approved submittals, samples, and mockups.
9. Organize and lead daily/weekly construction coordination meetings.
10. Support the look-ahead schedule with field engineers and site planners to ensure proper planning.
11. Check and verify method statements and risk assessments; ensure work contractors follow approved procedures.
12. Coordinate material delivery for the scope of work.
13. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues.
14. Verify that progress claims match actual site progress.
15. Authorize signatures for contractor timesheets for on-site work.
16. Prepare and report overall construction progress to the Project Site Manager.
17. Coordinate interfaces between CSA, MEP, Infrastructure, EHS, and Contractors.
18. Support system/area handover activities, ensuring smooth and timely handovers to the client.
19. Foster teamwork, promote respect, and communicate effectively with the project team.
20. Assist in onboarding suppliers and contractors, including documentation.
21. Perform technical QA/QC functions on site, including inspections and walks.
