In order to support Acoustics and Vibration Machining, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Acoustics and Vibration Engineer (d/f/m).

The Loads, Aeroelasticity and Acoustics Domain is part of the Flight Physics Centre of Competence at Airbus Defence and Space. Our mission is to design, analyze, certify, qualify, maintain into service, and ensure the continued airworthiness of all the aircraft developed within Airbus Defence and Space. Responsibilities of the Acoustics and Vibration Domain include equipment and store qualification, external and internal noise design and development, ground test and laboratory activities, and support of flight test campaigns.

Main aircraft programs include Eurofighter, Tornado, Eurodrone, and FCAS.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As an Acoustics and Vibration Engineer, your main tasks will include:

  • Performing acoustics and vibration analyses for integrating new equipment and stores
  • Defining, preparing, executing, and supporting qualification tests, ground and flight test campaigns
  • Managing external suppliers and partners

Desired skills and qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Aeronautic Engineering
  • Experience in aerospace engineering or related fields
  • Experience in acoustics and vibration
  • Experience with structural dynamic testing
  • Skills in data acquisition, handling, processing, and analysis
  • Knowledge of vibration environment definitions and qualification processes
  • Experience with modal testing and analysis
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 is advantageous
  • Basic Linux knowledge
  • Proficiency in MATLAB
  • Ability to work in a multinational team
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent English required; German language skills are a plus
