The Job
The Strategic Account Manager's purpose is to develop business with new accounts and expand footprints within existing named accounts of the defined territory. The primary goal is to meet revenue objectives and maximize AVEVA solutions and services within these accounts, while being a strong team player capable of conducting challenging business and commercial conversations with customers.
Key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets supporting the regional business. Maximize revenue growth and customer outcomes through a robust cross-portfolio sales strategy, utilizing the AVEVA Strategic Sales Plays, focusing on delivering the most impact to our customers’ business.
- Direct the account team to uncover and drive new revenue generation and be solely accountable for all commercial activity within the account from opportunity inception to contract closure.
- Define and execute your Account Manager Business Plan, outlining your strategic and tactical approaches for achieving your targets.
- Plan and organize all related sales activities from prospecting to closing, in line with the Framework of ONE AVEVA. Comply with AVEVA’s Processes and Policies and other management directives.
- Identify, pursue, and develop C-Level client relationships. Deepen their understanding of their digital initiatives and business drivers, securing AVEVA’s position as a strategic partner providing significant value through transformational sales initiatives.
- Analyze ongoing performance against your plan to develop monthly reports, including long-term account strategies, customer visits, revenue status, and forecasts.
- Maintain and develop the customer pipeline following stage-gate forecasting protocols and keep all activity within AVEVA’s CRM system.
- Possess significant experience in sales, account management, or business development roles selling software solutions to Owner Operators, EPCs, or Design consultants.
- Be well-versed with IT solutions and industries served by AVEVA (Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Mining, Metals, Materials, Marine).
- Be insightful about customer’s business, able to uncover key problems and match AVEVA’s solutions accordingly.
- Be a self-starter, capable of developing new client engagements throughout the sales cycle.
- Operate effectively at various levels, from end-user to senior decision-makers, aligning their problems with our technology solutions.
- Understand the business benefits of AVEVA solutions and services, and communicate these benefits effectively.
- Use commercial and analytical skills to identify market trends and opportunities, creating strategic business and account plans.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills across all mediums – written, oral, email, presentations – with fluency in English and the local language at C1/C2 level.

- Domain expertise and relationships in LNG, Chemical, Midstream, or EPC sectors.
- Degree or professional qualification relevant to AVEVA’s industries.
