For our customer Airbus Defence and Space, you will act as an Aerodynamic Engineer - Dataset Team / Modelling (m / f / d) at the location Manching.

Your responsibilities :

• Design and generate aerodynamics datasets for stability & control, loads, and performance assessments
• Develop and apply machine learning methodologies to aerodynamic dataset generation
• Increase accuracy by improving data fusion methodologies to combine numerical, wind-tunnel, and flight test data
• Conduct empirical and experimental data analysis of aerodynamic characteristics
• Support the preparation and conduction of wind tunnel and flight test programs
• Ensure consistency of aerodynamics datasets through verification, validation analysis, and defining aerodynamic tolerances
• Support on-site wind tunnel campaigns

Your profile :

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Machine Learning, or equivalent
• Work experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data fusion algorithms
• Good knowledge of aerodynamics with an affinity for fighter aircraft
• Proficiency in MS-Office
• Good knowledge of Python
• Programming skills in Fortran and familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (2-3 times per year for 1-4 weeks to the USA and Amsterdam)
