Cloud Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, security, and cost-efficiency. In this role, you will work with cutting-edge technologies, automate deployments, and enhance cloud operations, supporting our development teams in delivering high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

1. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments
2. Automate infrastructure provisioning and platform service deployments
3. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth and efficient deployments
4. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to enhance availability and reliability
5. Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize workflows and troubleshoot issues
6. Ensure security and compliance across all cloud operations and environments
7. Create and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployments
8. Document technical processes and decisions clearly for effective communication

Your Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
2. Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer with a history of successful projects
3. Proficiency in CI/CD tools, ideally Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions
4. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform
5. Strong understanding of GitOps principles, with experience in ArgoCD being a plus
6. Experience using Helm for Kubernetes package management
7. Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
8. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
9. Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) to maintain system performance and reliability
10. Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
12. Fluent in English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus
