About the role: Following the recent acquisition of ATTO-TEC GmbH by Leica Microsystems, we are expanding our assay development team at our ATTO-TEC site in Siegen, Germany.

We seek a Principal Scientist with over 10 years of experience in biological research, capable of establishing and optimizing protocols for liquid and tissue biopsy samples. Proficiency in histological techniques and a broad sample type experience are essential for developing versatile assays.

The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific record in areas such as molecular biology, genetics/genomics, spatial biology, multiomics, phenomics, or disease models, with a broad technological background.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize assay technologies and protocols.
• Design and implement verification and validation plans.
• Establish and maintain research infrastructure.
• Manage laboratory operations ensuring good laboratory practices.
• Train and mentor new team members and technical staff.

Your Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, or biology.
• Expertise in ELISA, Western blotting, FISH, NGS, CRISPR, single-cell analysis, cytometry, spatial biology, and related techniques.
• Experience with advanced microscopy platforms.
• Strong management skills and experience leading scientific teams.
