Our Group Treasury comprises the following teams: Investor Relations, Captive Finance, and Structured Finance.
AUTO1 Group is a leader in ABS financing technology. We operate a unique ABS programme for our used car inventory and are expanding our captive finance business, which we refinance in the ABS market, including our debut public market transaction, FinanceHero 2024-1. As we develop the best online platform for buying and selling cars, we aim to build the leading ABS and captive finance business in the European car market.

Our headquarters are in Berlin. We offer some flexibility for remote work, but you will need to be in Berlin during the initial onboarding and regularly meet with colleagues in Berlin or London thereafter.

Job Description
- Reporting & Compliance: Oversee daily and weekly reporting for multiple ABS structures, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with investor and regulatory standards.
- Data Analysis & Quality Control: Validate and reconcile transaction data, cash flows, and collateral pool performance metrics across ABS programs.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Lead initiatives to automate and optimize reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
- Investor & Regulatory Engagement: Act as the primary contact for investors, rating agencies, and regulators, managing inquiries and reporting obligations.
- Expansion & New Structures: Support onboarding in new jurisdictions and public market transactions, ensuring reporting frameworks adapt to new ABS structures.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a team of initially 3 ABS reporting analysts, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with treasury, risk, accounting, and IT teams to ensure data integration and compliance with reporting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in structured finance, ABS reporting, securitization, or similar, preferably in a financial institution, auto finance company, or investment bank
- Proficiency in ABS reporting systems, data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau), and financial modeling in Excel; experience with securitization software (e.g., Moody’s ABS Suite, S&P Global solutions) is a plus
- Understanding of ABS structures, investor reporting, and regulations (e.g., ESMA, IFRS 9, STS); experience with Italian Law 130 structures and reporting to the Bank of Italy is a plus
- Leadership experience in managing or mentoring teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data integrity skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data to stakeholders and regulators
- Fluent in English; German and/or Italian skills are advantageous
