Position Overview

Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The Global Surveillance Operations team collaborates with the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) group to protect the bank from sanctions risks. As the Global Head of Transaction Surveillance, you will drive compliance with regulatory sanctions policies, operating in the first line of defense and partnering with AFC & Corporate Bank teams.

The Director reports directly to the global head of Cash, Surveillance, and Messaging Operations. This high-energy, results-oriented role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a focus on quality and accuracy.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage global Surveillance Operations and Investigations teams, ensuring accountability across all locations.
  • Design and implement the Target Operating Model for Surveillance Operations, supporting global alignment and centralization.
  • Standardize processes to enable automation and develop the strategic Target System Architecture for growth and efficiency.
  • Build and motivate teams, foster talent development, and promote an inclusive culture.

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Senior understanding of Surveillance/Sanctions Operations, AFC requirements, and end-to-end processes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a customer and risk focus.
  • Strong relationship management skills to enhance governance and connectivity across regions.
  • Proven leadership in motivating large teams, managing change, and establishing high-performing, inclusive cultures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • University degree in business, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic or leadership roles.
