42 Berlin is a disruptive higher education NGO training up to 600 students to become cutting-edge software engineers in a practice-based gamified peer learning environment.
Our model is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42, founded in 2013 in Paris, now training more than 18,000 students across 50 schools worldwide.
At 42 Berlin, we aim to educate the next generation of German software engineers to build a digital future together.
Tasks
As Student Success / Pedagogy Manager, your main mission will be to support students throughout their entire lifecycle, from the start of their Piscine to the completion of their studies at 42 Berlin. You will report to the Pedagogy Lead and assist the pedagogy team in their daily activities on campus.
You will help accelerate our impact by taking ownership of the following workstreams:
- Student wellbeing: Serve as the first point of contact for students and candidates during Piscines. Assist them with questions and concerns, and proactively support their wellbeing through regular check-ins and engagement in clusters.
- Onsite presence: Be present on campus as much as possible to support students with their daily needs (projects, exams, time management, motivation, etc.) and support online communication via Slack, email, or other tools.
- Monitoring System: Monitor student attendance and progress, managing the data and tools used. Follow up with students who are falling behind or inactive.
- Assistance Program: Develop an Assistance Program to ensure all students can learn effectively, regardless of circumstances, by finding creative support solutions to reduce dropout rates.
- Piscine Organization: Support the preparation of Piscines, kickoffs, and welcome weeks.
- Campus Life: Organize and maintain an active student community through events like standups, meetups, and community emails.
- Transition to Jobs: Collaborate with the partnerships team to connect students with job opportunities and maintain relationships with employers.
- Development: Create and maintain internal tools, knowledge bases, and documentation.
