As a Software Designer, you are an expert in the software domain, where you will be part of the Design and Engineering group at Neways Technologies within the Embedded Systems department. You are (co)-responsible for the embedded software of the cutting-edge solutions and partly for the electronics part that we develop and produce in consultation with our customers. You will be point of contact for project managers, system architects, domain designers and customers. In your position, you fulfil an intermediary role between the customer and the department. You will be working on and coaching project members in a variety of projects in a project-based manner, including projects within the Smart Mobility, Semicon solutions, and Connectivity industry.

This is what you bring to the team

To design state-of-the-art solutions for a variety of customers in high-tech, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor or master degree in electronics or similar
2. Extensive years of relevant work experience
3. Knowledge of software development tools (e.g. IAR, Keil, Eclipse)
4. Knowledge of and experience with programming languages, e.g. C/C++, Java, VB.net
5. Knowledge of and experience with OS- and event-based software applications
6. Knowledge of and experience with software design methodologies, e.g. Jordan, UML, OSI model
7. Knowledge of and experience with wireless technologies (Wifi, BT, mobile net) is a plus
8. Knowledge of and experience with hardware and ability to build board support packages for different hardware environments
9. Good communication and writing skills in English; Dutch is an advantage

Your daily responsibilities include

1. Crafting embedded software with precision to meet specifications
2. Timely completion of assigned tasks adhering to the schedule
3. Maintaining currency with the latest development tools and methodologies
4. Facilitating the release of developed products, with a focus on test tooling
5. Adhering to (internal) coding standards in every aspect of work
6. Active participation in collaborative project teams
