What you can expect
The position comprises a broad spectrum of communication-related tasks, including media relations, stakeholder management, topic-setting, issue management, and online communication.
As a member of the Communications Team, you will be responsible for communications and public relations work on energy policy issues in Germany at the national level.
You will develop targeted communication strategies, coordinate their implementation tailored to specific target groups and media sources, and evaluate their success.
As a press spokesperson, you will be the first point of contact for supra-regional German media sources and position the company’s activities in Germany. You will build and cultivate contacts among media sources covering related issues.
You will draft position papers and press releases on energy policy issues in Germany and be responsible for disseminating them to relevant target groups.
You will handle supra-regional crisis communication in Germany and serve as a spokesperson for the company during crises.
You will monitor and analyze national media sources, follow energy policy reporting on domestic raw material production and carbon management, and report significant developments to the Management Team.
You will accompany members of the Senior Management Team and colleagues to relevant events, discussions, and interviews with journalists on energy policy topics, including preparation and follow-up.
You will advise within the company on communication-related issues.
You are willing to be present in Berlin regularly and work there independently.
What we expect
Ideally, you have journalistic training or a university degree in economics or communications, with relevant additional training.
You have several years of experience in corporate communications, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to present complex technical, political, and regulatory issues clearly and target-group oriented.
You are enthusiastic about energy policy communication and engaging with various stakeholders at the national level.
You possess excellent communication, social, and team skills.
You work in a structured, proactive manner as a team player with self-initiative and diplomatic skills.
This position requires a very good command of English and an interest in social and energy policy issues.
