Our Transformation department is looking for its Telematics team, its future collaborator as a Telematics Application Specialist.

As a Telematics Application Specialist at Yanmar CE, you will play a crucial role in leveraging telematics data to drive innovation and efficiency across our compact equipment machines. This position requires working collaboratively with cross-functional teams from different areas and departments, bridging telematics and engineering to enhance machine applications, customer experience, and aftermarket services. You will be responsible for conducting industry analyses, documenting key processes, and ensuring that all telematics applications adhere to industry standards and regulations.

This role demands construction industry expertise. The focus will be on developing predictive maintenance applications and building advanced diagnostics services, ensuring our equipment meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your insights will help shape use cases that maximize telematics data potential, support training programs, and provide operational support to meet client expectations.

The role requires a deep understanding of client and end-customer utilization patterns of compact equipment machines in the market. With a global scope, the Telematics Application Specialist will help adopt telematics benefits across regions (EMEA, NA, JP, AOLA), supporting regional sales and aftersales teams in building packaged offers and promoting digital services.

Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA is a leading manufacturer and distributor of state-of-the-art compact machinery, with production sites in Crailsheim, Germany, and Saint-Dizier, France.

Combining Japanese expertise with European manufacturing, we deliver a wide range of machines for infrastructure, drainage, landscaping, demolition, and civil engineering applications.

Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze telematics data to identify trends and actionable insights, focusing on improving machine applications and aftermarket services.
  2. Industry Analysis & Market Research: Conduct industry and competitive analysis, evaluate pricing strategies, analyze customer feedback, and collaborate with sales and aftermarket teams.
  3. Use-Case Development: Leverage industry knowledge to develop and refine telematics use-cases related to productivity, safety, and energy efficiency.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between telematics data and teams like engineering, aftermarket, and product management, ensuring seamless data integration.
  5. Aftermarket Support & Training: Support service improvements and contribute to training programs for staff and clients.
  6. Predictive Maintenance & Diagnostics: Collaborate on developing predictive maintenance services and advanced diagnostics capabilities to troubleshoot proactively.
  7. Process Documentation: Ensure telematics applications comply with standards and document processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in aftermarket services and machine applications, with knowledge of telematics' role in these areas.
  • Experience in telematics or related fields focused on data and software-driven services.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and develop or implement systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Analysis, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in English.
