About you:

You are an experienced software engineer passionate about investing. You enjoy working on a fast-growing, community-driven solution, interpreting order statements, and understanding investment terms like "Split", "Spin-Off", or "Knockout". Ideally, you have hands-on experience with banking or brokerage APIs.

You are motivated by solving complex problems, combining reverse engineering with high-quality standards, and maintaining high test coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance APIs for banks, brokers, and crypto platforms.
• Investigate, interpret, and reverse-engineer banking and brokerage APIs.
• Support and guide team members with your financial and technical expertise.
• Lead product assignments through all phases from planning to delivery.
• Participate in architectural design and decision-making.
• Conduct code reviews, retrospectives, and mentor junior team members.
• Utilize modern technologies: Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Astra-DB, Astra-Vector-DB.
• Engage in technological projects to improve architecture, scalability, and security.
• Demonstrate communication, ownership, accountability, and teamwork, always considering product and customer experience improvements.

Minimum requirements:

• 7+ years of software development experience
• Strong background in finance or wealth management
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development and extensive testing skills

Preferred skills:

• Machine learning or statistical training
• Experience with big data stacks like MongoDB or Cassandra

Soft skills:

• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Data-driven decision making
• Ability to tackle complex problems, learn quickly, and persist
• Balance speed and quality in delivery

Language skills:

• English mandatory
• German sufficient to interpret bank statements
