The mission of the Global Product Manager Automation is to develop a competitive and profitable solution aligned with customer needs and business goals.
This role contributes to the development of the Division and the automation business segment through active collaboration with Customer Centers, the Darmstadt automation team, and key customers. Responsibilities include promoting our solutions and added value, building competencies, and collaborating with R&D to initiate new products and solutions.
Success is measured by revenues, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
The role reports to the Business Manager Maintenance Services.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the product portfolio to ensure sustainable growth and market leadership.
- Develop business segment strategies aligned with overall strategic direction.
- Identify market needs and trends; develop business cases with Customer Centers for new products (Strategic Product Planning).
- Understand customer needs and participate actively in Product Development Processes.
- Plan and execute product launches.
- Create and share marketing materials, promote content via digital channels.
- Develop and deliver training, seminars, and workshops for organizational knowledge and competence enhancement.
- Communicate actively and collaborate with Customer Centers and key accounts.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams including Customer Centers, Global Key Account Managers, Application Centers, and Marketing Communications.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and/or marketing.
- Solid experience in global product or business segment management.
- Understanding of marketing and business development.
- Ability to explore, create, and communicate customer value.
- Proven project management and teamwork skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
