The "Systems and Processes Team" within the Intraday Trading and Dispatch Management Desk is responsible for the operation and development of core operational systems for the commercialization and control of Europe's largest fleet of power stations.
This fleet includes over 20 GW of capacity across various asset classes such as conventional, renewable, and storage, with an additional 3 GW from RWE's Battery pipeline expected soon.
A key focus is our SCADA-system infrastructure (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), connecting optimization systems with power stations, which are part of the critical infrastructure (KRITIS).
As a team member, you will ensure the proper functioning and enhancement of our SCADA systems, support new asset integration, and develop functionalities to unlock new commercial opportunities.
- Monitor and backtest system behavior to identify issues and enhance stability
- Support operational users, including participating in 24/7 remote on-call services
- Implement control connections and internal modeling for new assets
- Develop new functionalities and automate processes within SCADA systems to meet business and TSO requirements
- Collaborate extensively with business users, IT, modeling experts, asset operators, grid operators, and software suppliers
- Manage stakeholder relationships across various interest groups
- Contribute to the development of a long-term SCADA system landscape
Qualifications:
- Degree or extensive work experience in a relevant field such as mathematics, engineering, natural sciences, preferably combined with commercial education or background
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills suitable for complex systems and interdependencies
- Ability to independently evaluate approaches and make structured decisions
- Effective communication skills to convey complex matters to stakeholders of varying expertise
- Excellent teamwork and professionalism
- Problem-solving courage and solution-oriented mindset considering diverse perspectives
- Fluent in German
