Job Description:

  • You will be leading the Income Tax Team Germany (3-4 Certified Tax Advisors).
  • You will be preparing tax returns and other filings, reviewing tax assessments.
  • You will be providing tax advisory to German businesses (support in business projects, tax and accounting questions, domestic restructurings).
  • In addition, you will support German income tax audits.
  • You will prepare monthly tax reporting for US GAAP group reporting, Year End tax reporting for statutory accounts, and quarterly tax cash forecasts.
  • You will support the tax planning team on tax accounting impacts of projects.

What makes you great

  • You have a University degree in Taxes, Finance, Accounting or Economics. Qualification as German tax advisor (Steuerberater).
  • You possess long-term relevant professional experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm or in a tax department of a multinational company, with excellent knowledge in direct tax.
  • You have excellent knowledge of US GAAP Tax Accounting and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including HGB (German GAAP).
  • You can think big picture and understand the impact of tax on business-driven transactions.
  • You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, capable of working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • You possess strong communication skills and can present complex topics to management.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
