Thai Union Germany is a significant and traditional company in the fish industry with the brands Rügen Fisch, Hawesta, Lysell and Ostsee Fisch. Our locations in northern Germany (Sassnitz / Rügen, Rostock / Bentwisch and Hamburg) and the special combination of consistency and dynamism form the basis for meeting customer requirements with the highest flexibility, quality and speed. The Thai Union Marine Nutrients GmbH (TUMN), based in Bentwisch near Rostock, also belongs to the Thai Union Group and has been operating a state-of-the-art plant for refining omega-3 oils such as tuna and algae oils.

To strengthen our production sites of the Rügen Fisch group of companies in Germany (including Lithuania), as well as TUMN, we are looking for a :

Health & Safety Manager (w / m / d)

  • Implementation of the group's SHE standards at local level, including conducting internal audits, incident management and training
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and group-internal SHE requirements, preparing for external and internal audits, managing SHE documentation
  • Leading accident investigations and implementing measures to prevent damage, emergency management and conducting ergonomic workplace assessments
  • Supporting plant management in developing and implementing a SHE improvement plan to align with group strategy
  • Conducting SHE training courses, promoting safety culture and organizing competence analyses
  • Implementing measures to reduce environmental impacts (e.g. noise reduction, waste management) and improving operational sustainability in cooperation with the local SHE manager at the Sassnitz site

Your profile :

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a SHE manager in food production or FMCG industry
  • NEBOSH certificate in occupational safety and health (or German equivalent), IEMA certificate in environmental management (or German equivalent)
  • Extensive knowledge in implementing and controlling SHE standards, analytical thinking to solve complex safety issues and the ability to work efficiently in an international environment
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • High willingness to travel
