Job Overview

We are seeking a Director Airframe (m/w/d) to lead our airframe engineering department in Weßling. The successful candidate will be responsible for ramping up competencies, leading disciplinary teams, implementing program requirements, and aligning strategies with future trends.

Responsibilities

1. Ramp up airframe competencies according to defined deliverables and headcount
2. Lead disciplinary airframe engineering teams, including competence management and training
3. Implement project requirements into resource planning, including subcontracting policies
4. Train and prepare signatory candidates for design delegation
5. Support company strategy and determine future needs in airframe engineering

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BA or MA) in aeronautics, aviation, or mechanical engineering
• 10+ years of professional experience in aircraft development and product requirements
• Proficiency in airframe design criteria, materials, methods, and tools
• Experience with at least one new aircraft program
• Proven leadership with minimum 5 years managing engineering teams
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
