Role purpose:

Finance Services VOIS (FS) delivers services to the Finance organisation and Vodafone businesses as a vertical operation. It is accountable for the delivery of all financial actuals and secure margin and value across all local markets globally.

The global team have set ambitious long-term targets to deliver an even more effective and efficient service to its stakeholders. This includes a fundamental reorganisation of its collaboration with all stakeholders into co-construction and co delivery via consolidated service lines.

This role is to work with the Group Head of Finance Services VOIS to deliver the business transformation of the Finance Services function on global level. In doing so you will need help to define, govern and steer the strategic targets and initiatives across all FinOps markets. This will include your strive to develop, align and implement the long- to short term performance targets of VF Group Finance Operations and an effective communication of the objectives and targets of the transformation. Accordingly you will drive strategic and transformational projects worldwide initiated by you or assigned to the role and which are significant drivers to achieve those strategic as well as performance targets. By that, you will be responsible that those projects are defined, set, monitored and governed to continuously improve the business landscape of FinOps and its EtE processes.

As the Head of Finance Services has the responsibility for a budget of EURmn 100+ and 2300+ FTE worldwide the role owner is also key contact between the markets, group reporting, lean corporate services and the global change programs. You will take particular ownership of processes that form aprt of the corporate governance of the function. Besides the ownership of the process you will also work closely with Group reporting to consolidate the administrative numbers (e.g. FTE, Budget) and targets by being able to drive data democracy and availability at scale.

Furthermore, you will grow customer satisfaction across Finance Services by industrialising existing, and constantly evolving, market leading trends in Finance and cross-functional. In addition you will be responsible to support the development towards a data driven, digitalised and automated process model, requiring a highly strategic focus as part of the transformation function. The role helps to establish strong disciplined collaboration with and steering of senior key stakeholders on Group, Local Markets and Shared Services side.
A particular emphasis of the role will also be on the targeted communication towards the local German VGSG community. A solid knowledge of the German language is therefore seen as beneficial.

Finance Services transformation and Governance is an executive department led by a Senior Manager reporting directly into the Head of Finance Services VOIS

What you will do
Set and drive the transformation agenda for FS:
• Help to define the strategic and transformational targets
• Drive and govern the Finance Services business transformation with a focus on verticalization and end to end process ownership.
• Build a strong partnership with the senior leadership and transformation leads in the markets to transform the organization accordingly and inject the needed mindset.
• Manage between group functions and the virtual organization to establish a full framework and governance, e.g. budget, governance, etc.


Ensure sound project management across the FS organisation:
• Manage the communication to stakeholders of the local markets, global process team and LCS organisation.
• Drive the Finance Services s agenda with a focus on the business transformation.
• Develop a common project management methodology, templates etc. and evolve skills over time and increase project management quality


Budget and headcount controlling:
• Control the headcount and opex budget on global scale by monitor and manage between the group and local market functions.
• This includes the reporting and feedback session with the global head of finance services and challenging the markets to meet the yearly opex goals.

Partner Management Service Lines:
• Support the Finance Services Service line management agenda with a focus on service delivery performance monitoring.
• This includes the analysis of the business needs, translating them into qualitative and quantitative measures and track their development. Manage and facilitate the resolution of issues and escalations.


Communication & Change:
• Manage the communication to Finance Services stakeholders internal and external, of the local market, global process team and VOIS and promote the success factors in ways of working in an environment shaped by a high shared service centre penetration.
• Manage the communication of initiatives and targets within Finance Services
• Own the changes within Finance Services specifically from a people perspective


Take over and drive Ad Hoc Management:
• Coordinate and manage if applicable market relevant topics and processes to ensure smooth transition between head of finance operations directors.
• This includes the orchestration between, group, local market mid management or HR and wrap up sessions/workshops to ensure a diligent performance.

• Proven ability and experience in dealing with and influencing multiple stakeholders on senior level
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; transparent and open nature
• Solid project management experience and proven ability to deliver in complex and volatile environments
• Strong project & change management skills; capability to structure and deliver process improvements
• Expertise in finance processes and operating models
• 7+ year of working experience in a corporate administration function (e.g. Finance, HR) and a minimum of 5 years in Vodafone
• University graduate, preferably from Business Administration, Economics, etc.
• Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills
• good knowledge and understanding of corporate processes and operating models
• Project management
• Analytical-minded, innovative, adaptable, team player and leader
• Willingness to travel globally (minimum 40%)
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English
• Excellent level of both written and spoken German (C2 preferred if not native)

This position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).
