Field Sales Engineer
Job Description:
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define critical markets and new customers in the assigned sales territory, plan strategy, and develop key relationships to ensure a strong foundation for solution selling. Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts involved in design opportunities and existing business challenges. Ensure customer satisfaction regarding supply chain management and value-added services. Requires experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment. Extensive understanding of pricing programs and models within the electronics industry.
- Prepare comprehensive internal quarterly business reviews (iQBR), presenting strategic plans and implementation steps to grow sales, create demand, and improve customer service. Lead regular QBRs with major customers to unlock additional sales opportunities.
- Create demand for Arrow products and services. Work with engineers and designers to specify, select, and resolve electronic board designs with Arrow franchised suppliers.
- Promote and sell the value-added supply chain and full lifecycle programs offered by Arrow. Proficiency in sales tracking systems like SalesForce.com, Oracle, and ERP is required. Establish and build relationships with key suppliers.
- This role involves participation in a sales compensation plan with variable earnings tied to sales-related goals as set by Arrow.
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration/Management, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in account management and NBO within the electronics industry.
- Good understanding of electronics distribution and supply chain processes.
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and customers, with good communication and persuasion skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Experience with sales tracking systems (SalesForce.com, Oracle, ERP) is an advantage.
- Positive attitude, eager to learn and take on challenges.
- Experience with memory products is a plus.
- Regional scope covers China and Thailand markets; Mandarin-speaking capability is required.
