As part of GIZ’s digital transformation strategy, this initiative focuses on optimizing processes and implementing end-to-end digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This role is based in Eschborn, Germany, and is open for full-time or part-time employment. The position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project planning, resource management, risk monitoring, and digital process optimization within an international development setting.

Tasks

In this role, you will:

  • Support project planning, deliverable tracking, and risk monitoring for digital transformation initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing status reports and presentations for GIZ committees and senior management.
  • Coordinate resource planning for project phases, ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Organize and contribute to internal and external workshops (virtual and in-person).
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Participate in knowledge management, presentations, and communication strategy development.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • A university degree in economics, social sciences, administrative sciences, or a technical field.

Experience

  • Initial experience in project management, particularly in digitalization projects.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project) and experience with SAP Solution Manager.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and initiative in dynamic work environments.

Languages

  • Fluent German and English (required).
  • French proficiency (desirable).
