Major Accounts Manager - Retail and E-Commerce

Job Description:

Primary Purpose

  • To grow market share through business development across prospective national and pan-European accounts.
  • To manage and develop existing accounts.
  • To identify, prospect, pursue, and close strategic sales opportunities, actively managing the rollout and further penetration of these accounts.
  • To develop and implement processes to participate in and respond efficiently to national tenders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve annual target revenue, profit, and units.
  • Grow pipeline and prospective sales opportunities.
  • Manage and penetrate existing accounts.
  • Meet and fulfill customer expectations and application requirements.
  • Manage, coordinate, and follow tender processes.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new accounts into contracts.
  • Build internal and external relationships through sales support, GE Finance, dealers, and aftermarket to influence support and maximize sales.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Business management degree (BS / BA) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of complex solution selling and a structured sales approach, supported by formal training, work experience, and coaching.
  • Creative and persistent business development skills.
  • Prospecting and negotiation skills with multiple points of influence (personal selling).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience responding to national and pan-European tender requests.
