Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to strengthen our European team to improve our coverage and access into large and small accounts within Europe. The regional sales manager will report to the Senior Director of Sales Europe.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Own regional forecast and develop pipeline in the assigned territory, focusing on the central part of Europe.
  2. Achieve or exceed revenue targets for Onto Innovation’s product portfolio in the territory.
  3. Maintain existing account relationships through regular visits and meetings; develop new business in existing accounts and new process areas.
  4. Understand customer requirements and provide feedback to internal stakeholders.
  5. Drive customer projects, including negotiations.
  6. Make regular visits to the US for sales meetings, training, and demonstrations.
  7. Provide accurate pipeline and forecast information via the CRM system.
  8. Develop and execute account strategies for larger accounts, aligning with the global team.
  9. Manage the quoting process with support from technical and product teams.

The position is home-office based or near an Onto office, preferably in Dresden, with a focus on customers in Germany/Austria.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  1. University degree in a technical or commercial field with relevant experience.
  2. Proven sales record, highly driven, well-organized.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
  4. Willingness to travel >50% across Europe.
  5. Experience selling capital equipment in the semiconductor industry, preferably in metrology or inspection.
  6. Fluent in English and German.
  7. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Highly advantageous:

  • Understanding of manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle.
