Head of Engineering - Berlin and Hamburg

My client, which develops scientific cameras and optical systems, is seeking an experienced CAD designer to contribute significantly to new concept development and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop innovative concepts and solutions for complex mechanical design challenges.
2. Design and detail components, parts, and assemblies using CAD (Autodesk Inventor), considering technical, economic, and aesthetic requirements.
3. Create technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.
4. Generate production-ready drawings for individual parts and assemblies.
5. Collaborate and communicate regularly with team members and project partners.
6. Assemble prototypes and custom-built units for clients.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in a technical or scientific field, preferably in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
2. Several years of practical experience in technical equipment design.
3. Proficiency in CAD design using Autodesk Inventor.
4. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, materials, and chemical processes (e.g., material cleaning).
5. Fluent in English and German.
6. Enjoyment of working in a diverse, responsible role with growth opportunities in a forward-thinking company.
7. Engagement in exciting projects within a dynamic, collaborative environment.
8. Experience in flat hierarchies and quick decision-making processes.
